Phyllis has enjoyed sewing since her elementary school days. However, it wasn’t until her first child and attending college that economic needs made sewing a serious endeavor. Later, that love of sewing became an integral part of her job when she was an assistant manager of a fabric store in Northern California, and taught clothing construction at the state university located nearby. “I love teaching every aspect of sewing, especially the fundamentals or foundation, because without a good base, everything else has less meaning.” She has been involved with Husqvarna Viking since 1996, first as manager for a Viking dealer in Arizona, and later New Business Development. Phyllis has taken her experience in management, with students and customers to become a freelance educator. Bachelor of Arts Social Science Bachelor of Science Education, Home Economics
